Your Wedding:
3 Reasons Not to Have Disposable Cameras

The countdown has begun and you have 10 big and 500 little decisions to make before the big day. We've whipped up a few good reasons to scratch the disposable camera thing off your list and a more modern day alternative.
1. Guests don't take them seriously.
Odds are you've hired a professional photographer and possibly a video crew, too. Every guest knows this and most think the disposable cameras are the perfect instruments for which to annoy you - the bride! Uncle Johnny thinks it's funny if he wastes the entire camera roll on stuff nobody wants to look at. Little Tina found a new toy and unknowingly clicks away at everything. You return from your honeymoon and rush to develop the photos only to find pictures of bums, carpet and ceiling.
2. The picture quality is horrible.
Camera phones and editing apps have changed the game. Not only can you better focus, light and position photos, but you can entirely alter and crop the ones you sort of like or just plain hate (but have to use). Most guests won't be able to see what they're shooting while trying to look through that tiny disposable camera lens. Not to mention, anyone 21 and under might have never even used one!
3. It looks cheesy.
You've spent all this time and money with the caterer, decorator and perhaps even a planner on deciding the perfect table arrangements, linens, centerpieces, plate settings, dinner courses, etc. The final touch? Yellow plastic and cardboard disposable cameras wrapped in a plastic bag. Ugh.
The alternative? Have your guests text their pictures to 213-277-4468 and use your address for shipping.
You can include the phone number on your invites, plate settings or make announcements during your reception. Inevitably, your wedding guests will take pictures on your night with their phones. So, why not capture them all?
